Other useful phrases:

La bas? = How are you?

La bas = fine (yes, the response is the same as the question) {literally, no harm, also used in response to the French “ca va”?}

Al-hamdu-lillah = Praise be to god.

Feen…? = Where is …? {pronounced “fin”, as in finta, where are you?}

Shahal taman? = How much (price)? C’est combien? (french) {Also, bish hal.}

Yes = Naam or Iyeh orAiwa {aiwa is modern contemporary Arabic and seldom used in Morocco}

Seer (or Seer f’halek) = go away {or “imshi”} but, ‘imshi’ is considered very rude and asking for trouble

Hashouma = shame on you

Wakha = Ok

Iwa = Ok, Alright, (but it depends on the context)
