The rare pearl of Morocco is located some 190 kms away from Marrakech. Ancient Ksar of extraordinary beauty, it’s been used as location for several legendary films. The day is rich in discoveries, starting with the crossing of Tichka pass (2,260 meters high) and its varied landscapes, and continuing towards Telouet for a visit of the old Kasbah of Pacha Glaoui, which is still standing, seemingly, only with difficulty. However as you explore its rooms you will admire, astonished, the fine work in cedar wood which decorates doors and ceilings, the meticulousness of motifs, and the perfect geometry of zellige mosaics on the walls, bearing witness of the splendorous past and the richness of Pacha Glaoui, dead in 1956. Lunch at 1 pm in a local house is a moment of pleasure. Hospitality and discretion are key words for Berber people. After lunch we will take a piste to reach Ait Ben Haddou. We will visit this wonderful village, declared UNESCO World Heritage site.
** Lunch in local house subjected to availability.
